went to roker pier on tuesday night 10pm till 8am and i took along my girlfriends brother took all the bait lug rag squid macky razor muscel and it was i abit windy at the beginning of the night but calmed right down at about 2am so i bait up three big lug on a pennel rig and i give it a right wollop out about 150yds and dont you now it after about 10 minuets my rod goes bang bang bag and dont you now what i have got a ken dod cod it was a monster compaired to what i have been catching latley my bait has been bigger so i get it home on the scales and its 4lbs 6ounce also caught a couple of good flatties what went back and a tone of whiting and a few collies also a tub gurned about a 1lbs all in all a good nights fishing there was only use fishing the pier there was a few people on untill about 12 and then they went |

nice bag mate but im not too keen with roker pier its very snaggy and its just not my idea of fun, but saying that i love seaham pier, eve though there is no difference.... well not really a piers a pier lol |

hi thom if you fish right off the end its grate you dont get any snags at all i have used the same rig and weight the last 5 times ive been and that has all been night fishing and i must of caught 50 sets of dayights aswell if you want to give it a try i would gladly have a session with you and show you the spots |

well we i actually fish with a mate and his father who knows the coastline pretty well, but yeah theres still just something i dont like, maybe it has soemthing to do with the car being broken into before lol... and yeah i love catchin other peoples rigs from macky fishing, you can clearly see they didnt have a heavy enough line lol thats why its also dangerous to fish some places this time of year |

yeah you are right about the line i have seen people using a fly rod with 10lbs line on fixt spool and using a 4 ounce lead nealy snaping the rod when casting any how just been talking to my cousin and he said that one of his friend were fishing the sunderland marina the other night and caught 32 codling didnt ask the size but think he may be lying but maybe not said was getting a bit every cast was using macky and and lug |

well down that wya i suspect its highly possible, but they'll be tiny bits from right in close lol. we had a half decent night last night, we each had codling upto 40cm aswell as coalies whities and my mate got himself a new pb eel of 60cm (silver eel this is) |
