sorry for the delay only just managed to get access to the family pc! fished the mid day tide and had four rods between three of us ( i was the tackle tart with 2), and everything looked to be perfect for a few flatties, overcast but not cold, a mere breath of wind and a nice big tide to look forward too. we did get the odd passing shower but only light rain so we didnt suffer as such. fished two and half up and half down. 3 fish between us! Pats first cast went all wrong and he cast virtually along the tide line. Me and Trev were mercilessly coating him when tip went bang and Pat landed a bristling half pound Bass! Me and Trev shut up. Pat followed this with a small flounder at slack water, and Trev also had a small flounder about the same time. As for the tackle tart 2 bites skillfiully missed and a blank goes into the record book. Justice is in short supply sometimes. Still good company, Pat was his usual entertaining self (with his Parka doing Kenny impressions) and it is ALWAYS better than working. Embarking on a Kent coast thornback campaign starting this week so I wont be on estuary shores for the next month or so (then the mullet may have returned elsewhere) so keep posting reports in case we fancy a home match! big grin
