would like to now what all you guys and girls out there think the best rod and reels are mainly the rods as im after buying a new rod for all round fishing (pier,beach,ratty,roughground) a rod with plenty off whip so you dont have to put much effort into a cast the rod does all the work i have an abu mag elite c3ct 6500 the green one, a penn 525 supermag and the new diawa 7ht millionair turbo |

penn make the best reels for long distance/ rough ground however daiwa and abu can both be very good reels for distance/tourny casting. as for rods i dont use anything light lol, i like my brrom shanks with my fave being my RT axcellerator and my other rod being a conny nemesis slr2002+, i have a penn villain but thats for mackeral lol |
