Me and The Reel Thing went out with Paul and a few other lads onboard Sea Otter II today for a spot of wreck fishing, the plan was to go tomorrow but with the weather looking poo for the next couple of days we managed to get our day out moved to today and maybe even out again Good Friday.
The Reel Thing and I bought home 5 Cod & 3 Pouting, we threw back 1 Pouting, 2 Ling and 1 Cod so a total of 12 fish had between us, total Cod catch for the boat was around the 18/19 mark but would have been more I feel if we did not have to come back in early because of the Tide and Wind going against us.
Lost a few sets of gear when snagged in the wrecks, but the 12-20lb class Boat Rods that I have were great fun.
Selection of pics taken when back in dock and back at home, bring on the next trip.

Sea Otter II is based at Whitby.
I used Squid Heads on my Shad whilst others were just using whole squid, so both were working good. |

well done mate, obviously the squid were taking the fish, and not the blue shads that normally take most of the time from that area.Paul is a topper skipper |
