Parents live closeish (Thornbury) and want to get a bit of fishing in when I visit next.
Where's the best place to go? Had a wander down there and it looks as if the platform directly under the crossing looks like a good place (casting into the deeper channel before the first support). Or is that wrong?
Also what sort of leads will i need as I'm guessing the tide is fierce. 6ox grip leads or bulk up more? |

hi hagwag, you will struggle to hold the bottom there as the tide comes up there at a very quick rate,you would be better off walking on up to the right hand side and head for the corner or go round the corner and go by the platform or past the platform up to the next corner,would advise you use pullyrig here and expect some tackle loss,check out the west forum for the bris channel marks good luck

EAST27 is right about the tide there hav fished it a few times under the bridge large springs are difficult midrange hav managed to hold with 6oz grips had a few small codling in winter not sure about summer months though would think maybe get a few bass, silver eels, flounders etc maybe east27 could post as regards this cheers |
