Well, spent the weekend beachcasting at Clarach Bay on Satuday and from Borth beach on Sunday.
Wind was so bad it was hard to see what you were doing and the swell was so bad that an 8oz sinker was racing you back through the surf.
First 9 casts (2 of us there) resulted in lost tackle as it was dragged aroung onto rocks. Eventually we'd moved far enough away, to where a stream inlets into the sea. Only catch of Sat was my mate's freshwater eel.
Dragging in LOADS of weed.
Sunday was so rough it was terrible trying to bait up etc...
No snags at Borth (centre of bay) but rods were being blown so bad you couldn't tell if you got a bite.
My mate had the only result again with a tiny Turbot.
Just too rough to enjoy it really.
Hoping next weekend will be better. Toying with the pier/ beach at Trefor. |
