Hi ya,
I am contemplating joining the Angling Trust and was looking for your valued opinions in regards to whether its actually worth joining?

Hi mate we all have our own views on whether to join the trust or not. What I would say is to try to decide if they are going to represent your views on angling. If so join them if not don't. Either way it is your choice and people should not begrudge you if you don't decide to join.

I think it's a good thing especially as the dozy politicians are more likely to take notice of a large unified body. As a pensioner though I find their annual fee a bit steep and did email them to ask if they might consider a lower fee for OAPs. I have to say that they have not bothered to answer me which is not very encouraging. |

Although I hate to say it we have never had it so good.
Perhaps some of the older generation can remember the bad times.
Social security was means tested,
Parents had to take meinial jobs just to put food on the table
Kids wore hand me downs from their family
Kids collected coal off the railway lines that had been spilt from the wagons
Parents had to use the pawn shops
We had no free bus passes
We had no cold weather payments
We survived on sugar butties, dripping butties crisp butties ect ect
Yet we still moan, sorry lads but I for one will never moan when I remember those days, and the sheer struggle my parents had just to survive never mind bringing up kids.
Human nature being what it is always wants more and think that the world owes them a living
Cheers keith
