News is the Thornies are heading up the river Crouch as far as "the saltings" in Fambridge big grin .

Does anyone know exactly where the saltings is??? confused

two or three hundred yards from ferry road i think macer...fancy a night tide out there some time soon? big grin

i`m thinking of going to s/Fambridge on sat evening tide about 20:30

i never caught a ray from the shore so i thinking of trying to bag one

i caught one about twenty years ago lol, on a boat out of bradwell marina

so i need a refresher on whats the best bait to take along ?

the saltings are located at south fambridge not hullbridge ferry road ,take the main road to s/fam park by the gate walk down and on to the sea wall the saltings are off to your right if you pm me i will let you in on some info THECOD

hi macer,,, yeah i took a trek up to s/fambridge , h/t was about 21:00 i got there at 18:00 used 3 rods with lug/squid and herring but unfortunatly nothing not even a bite ,, had to rebait every 15 minites as each time the hooks were stripped clean , damn crabs lol ,,, i got fed up and left about half hour before high water , nice place but seems devoid of fish unless the crabs were just too quick onto the bait

i got some lug left so me and the kids are going to coalhose fort in e.tibury in the morning flattie bashing , at least i`m pretty sure we`ll catch something there lol
