he has not come back to me yet jason!!! will nudge him again.
it was a funny ole night again last night........did not want to trek all the way to the green bouy, but followed 5 others up the pier, so had no choice to start with as couldnt get where i wanted (around 8pm). put three rods out, two big baits and a three hook flapper but could not hold bottom at all.......and had no 9oz weights. after an hour i moved back to the dog leg between the other guys (NO FORUM USERS!!)
picked up a decent pouting (if thats possible) after a good hour on the three hook.......not a sniff on any of the other two!! no action at all.......moved up to the middle layby around midnight, probably a little late as tide was close to turning. picked up a 12" bass first cast witht he flapper and thought to myself...why did i spend all night on the deeper water lol. nothing on the big baits again. as i was apcking up i miss another decent bite on the flapper.
what made the night good was having new stuff to mess about with and stop me from being bored..... walking up and home with the rucksack was so easy compared with the old seat box clanking away at me. but missed having a seat. need to get a little camping one sorted. |

Good report Col.
I haven't been out for ages now and I am not happy about that.
Getting a collection of lures though for the Bass season.
Venues are going to be the problem as it will be a learning curve.
The boat trip will soon be with us but no reports of thorneys yet.
Might have to be spring codling.

they are BOOBY beads........not bobby. they are best decribed as two cups which are hollow.......they then clamp together over your line near ya hook. they are designed to be fitted with ballbearing which you have the choice to fit or not. if you fit the ball bearing it then rattles and becomes attractive to the cod.
i got mine from gone fishing on canvey island but most good sea fishing
shops will have them.
