Guys,
Whilst on a quick holiday in Malta I did some spinning with lures and managed to bag a small Baracuda with a Rapala X Rap lure.
It took the lure around dawn (yeah I know it's early but local knowledge told me it has to be done to catch anything) and was my first spinning lure caught fish .
I was very pleased as even the locals struggle to catch anything this time of year.

Col,
Yeah I missed a hearbeat when it surfaced as I had 14lb line on and no leader or wire trace so my first thought was , Cuda, teeth, no net, no chance, But I was careful and landed it okay.
Oh and by the way, no worms or other bait fish were harmed in the capture of this fish...lol
Roll on summer for my first lure caught bass.
We will have to plan a trip somewhere Lee.
