Things are the same down here in Clare, Ive heard of a few rays being caught off of a local beach mark so three of us went out Sunday. Six rods in the water for about 5hours not a bite between us. I met up with another mate on the way home who had caught 1 small pollack between two of them.
Thing are normally slow at this time of year here, I'm waiting for the water to start to warm, the crabs starting to moult and the rays to invade the Shannon.

Still the same this weekend, a few lads fished the Lighthouse at Blackhead for about four hours Sunday, not a bite between them. At the same time a lad was fishing a beach mark a bit further down the road and had a small bass of about 2-3lb with his first cast on a big lump of mackerel.Nothing after that.

Things seem to be picking up a bit now, over the weekend we were down on the Shannon and took dogs, flounder and bass, today in North Clare we had flounder and a couple of sea trout( on mackerel strips)
