i fished on the barge pier about 2 weeks ago and caught nuthin - had about 5 small bites at high tide - used squid , mackeral and sandeels on 2 rods with 6 hooks in total. a couple of blokes came spoke to me and said there was a seal hanging around there all day (they didnt catch anything either.
the other bloke caught a codling. im gonna go on there at night v.soon.
i always seem to catch when i go night fishing.
a little tip - use mini glowsticks just above your hook, i caught about 24 whiting off southend beach (u can get mini glowsticks from ebay quite cheap). |
