then 2 weeks after get back got the official boat trip (BOAT 2 RULZZZZZZ).
then few more weeks inter forum charity match.
Poss BBQ weekend away more official and unofficial meets
In between hopefully me n Frozentoes will get out n about.
Want to try Tilbury both forts, Erith Pier, Reallytangled has put a couple of good venues on board which look really good.
Further afield Dover Dungeness etc.
Wether it fishes its T*** off or blanks I wouldn't know about half these marks without this excellent forum and the contributions of all you other members.
With family commitments etc we do tend to have to plan our fishing adventures but on a whole we need to get out fishing more.
What a life.
I used to live to work but now i work to live.
Happy hunting everyone may Personel Bests come thick and fast and taste delicious ha ha.
Forgot to add nice to see the venue thread growing with some excellent pictures from various members.
Don't forget to put down your Personal bests and oddities in the correct thread too. I have just had a look through it hopefully i will be able to put some more info on my boat exploits this weekend..
2009 ????? lovin it. |

Like your optomism!
I had my worst year in 2008!!!
Still look forward to 2009 though, and even though 2008 was devoid of decent size fish it still had it's moments. Best one was fishing in Devon. Fished a beach, sandy and shallow, just because it was there really. Locals said nothing much was ever caught there, and in fairness they were right. Say locals, actually they had a holiday house by the beach and their tradition was to swim at about 8am everyday, and there were loads of them!!! This meant I would pack up for fear of hooking one of them. But on the last day I got down there early and caught a mullet about 2lb. They saw this from their house. When they came for the swim they asked what I had caught, I told them, to which they replied, " never seen one caught from here before".
To be honest I'd never caught a mullet from the shore but I didn't let them know that!! I was well pleased with myself driving back to where I was staying!
This year I would really like a ray from the beach, will try Warden Bay again in the spring, never caught a smooth hound so that's on my list! If I get out on a boat would love a bream as I've never caught one. Or a plaice.
Going to Cork in May fishing for a weekend, got a good deal on a hotel and boat which I can't wait for.
Looking forward to the fishing year like you are!!!!
Thanks for your thoughts, reminded me of why I love it so much!
Happy Fishing
