have been advised but still not convinced what is the best way tyiny the shock leader to the main line all help would be most welcome |

Have a look at the animated knots section on this site. Its under resources on the left hand menu. When I started, thats where I learned all the knots I needed. |

A simple half hitch "granny knot" for the shock leader end and for the main line a Grinner or Uni Knot :wink:
Thats what most sea match anglers would use :wink:
I personally used to use a melted blob knot for the shockleader and a uni knot tied to it :wink:
many would say that it not a strong system but in 7 years of sea match angling it didnt once let me down :!: the key really is not to over heat the blob
