I have never fished that area from the shore but the channel and bay between Sanda and the mainland will hold some fish. Pollack from the rocks and flatties in the bay. You may have to hike over a few fields to get access. The same applies at the Mull with perhaps a few more species including cod and wee haddies. The west side beaches reputedly through up a few bass in the summer months.
Around the Mull and Sanda the tides can be fierce and holding bottom may be as much as a problem as it can be on the boat. Also, it is wise to remember that the big Atlantic swells hit the Mull and west coast so pick calmer days and don't fish alone. Hope this helps and let us know how you get on as i may be over that way in the summer for a cast.
