dabs and flounders.2 or 3 hook flapper rigs worm with a sliver of squid or sprat on 1 or 2"o hooks always seem to catch better on the ebb tide.

hello tophat.. i have fished the medway for about 15 years now an have caught 4 species of flatfish there.. i have had dover sole at gillingham pier an medway city estate throughout the summer months on all worm baits from blow, to rag to blacks... late spring to summer i have caught plaice on all worm baits but these have only ever been no bigger than 8oz.... dab i have caught again on all worm baits from gillingham pier in jan/feb months... flounder i find is an all rounder, caugfht them on all worm baits inc: lobworm from all marks i have fished in the medway.. they tend to be present all year round so every time you go you always have a chance of catching 1. hope this has been of help big grin
