Hi all

Tried warden bay Leysdown again last night, hour up and 2 down, total blank.
One knock where the tip dropped about 4 inches and stayed down for maybe 4 or 5 seconds then lifted again, a local said it might have been a skate.
Any ideas anyone????

Only been trying the spot cos other half lives 5 mins walk away, if i keep blanking she is gona have to go

Around the top of the tide would be best as it is shallow water there, but dont let that put you off as ive seen rays come out of there. Tide run is fine, never had and problems holding bottom with 5-6oz breakaways.

Hi all,
In answer to all them questions.

At best i would think its only 20ft deep so high tied is a must, locals claim it fishes best on the return, low tied must be out over half a mile.

Only ever need 5oz to hold but got no 4s so maybe less will do.

As you come towards leysdown on the main road, just before you get to the vilage there is a left turn with a big grass triangle junction.
There is a sign for the Warden bay pub and Glory chinese on the grass there, go left and follow up until the beach is on your left, there is a sharp left bend, just round that bend is a free carpark, no more than 100yds walk from the beach.

there are wooden break waters, they only go out about 30 yds so not much chance of a snag on them.

Third breakwater from the left has rocks about 150yds out, all the rest are snag free.

Silly me

Beach will come up on your right, NOT left.

Imperial drive if you sat nav it, thats where the carpark is
