I am spending a few days in Aldeburgh next week (10th - 12th July) and hope to have at least one session either on the main town beach or down at the dirty wall end. Will be late afternoon/evening - what's likely to be about?
Also what's best bait at the moment? - I intend fishing 2/3 hook paternoster rigs with small hooks to get anything that might be going.
Oh, and lastly - any specific bits of beach to avoid? Last time I fished Aldeburgh my mate lost a lot of gear and was told by a local that he was casting into a "heft" - which we assumed was some sort of rough-edged hole or rockpile.
Any advice greatly appreciated.
