does anyone know where i can learn to cast...is there any friendly meeting places for the almost novice..

Sorry, I can't help Pete. But I need to spend a few hours in a quiet field before I hit the coast again. So you're not on your own.

hi pete
it all depends what your casting is like now. if you can already cast out confidently there are a few videos on the internet that will give you a good idea of casting just google beach casting watch them then get in a field and practice them a coach may cost you where the videos are free is then just your time or what i do is spend the last half hour after fishing a tide with just a led.
