Hi there,
I am new to this forum, just thought I would say a quick hello.
I live in the Isle of Man, and fish a coupla times a week, mainly of the rocks where we get pollack, mackerel and coalfish or shitties as they are known over here we get decent sized pollack regularly enough averaging 3-5lb more mackie than you can shake a shitty stick at and plenty of wrasse but unfortunately the beach fishing aint so hot any more, bass is getting harder and the flatties are also a lot rarer than they used to be, but its all good clean fun.
I use a greys bass rod of the rocks and a 16ft K2 extreme titanium of the beach, well at least I did... I fell down the so**ing rocks last night and landed on the greys so thats that fooked, still greys said they will replace it for £20 so it aint all bad.
Anyways enuff rambling, nice to meet everyone |

Hi Dan,
Yeah I love my K2 great distances and nice bite detection and so far I aint broken any rings on it, mind you given my present form its only a matter of time b4 I fall on the sod and break it !!
my m8 fishes a triplex 16 ft and that is also an awesome bit of kit. Dunno whether your k2 is a multi version but mine is fixed spool mebbe the rings are different? mine has the triangular fujis on and they seem robust enough, but I aint taken it off the rocks yet!! found a great spot the other night where ya can fling a beachcaster miles off the rocks but given my history my m8 was screaming "no feckin way dude" I have broken 2 conoflexes and a zippy plus the greys in the last 5 years doing this so mebbe I`ll listen to him his time!! I`m just kinda hooked on beachcasting off the rocks.
We are off to try our luck at some early morning bass on saturday, weather permitting, its been kinda crappy summer so far up here but we`ll see what happens.
all the best.

mine is the multi version and the rings keep popping out or chip easy(can't be the leader knot as it is small and the same reel + knot does not pop the greys rod or my old mitchell rod) I have replaced all the rings on the top section and have had no trouble since and have to say it is a good rod(my favorite for casting) and is the one i take with me when heading up to my relatives in devon, as for fishing i am going river fishing saturday and hope fully sea fishing at my mates house up the road if he feels up to it as he needs an op on his knee.(he don't drive so i have to go up the coast a little if i want a fishing buddy)If not then i spose it over the beach by my house(dam how i hate living next to the sea  ).Good luck saturday and tight lines
