Hi,
I have just started fishing and I wondered what is the best rig for rock fishing?
I would like to know what size hooks to use, what strength line, whether I should use floats and what bait to use?
My friend told me ragworm is a good bait to use.
Thanks For Your Help In Advance.
Darren. |

Hello mate,
you could try fishing with a rotten bottom rig from the rocks if you are using leads, And yes you can float fish as it is great fun with a light rod!
Mixture of baits can be used also as in mackeral strip, peeler crab, rag worm mussels, limpets. The list is endless. |

Wrasse fishing from the rocks is terrific fun. Just don't get careless. Many an angler has been washed off a rock mark by a surging wave. Never go alone, always tell somebody where you are planning to go and when you can be expected to return. Take a mobile phone with you in a waterproof bag. Check your PM's as I've sent you some links to look at.
Good luck, tight lines - NobbyC |
