I have not seen any posts from either of them for ages now, after very regular posts. I was wondering if they had been eaten by a giant Bass or have just eloped to Deal and do not want to be disturbed while on their honeymoon!
Maybe they were so upset that they could not make my Weymouth trip that they are at this very moment standing on Beachy Head wondering whether to fish or jump.
Should anyone see them or know where they are then please post their location on here.

Perhaps we should put the Imax goodies up for auction , after all they are in great demand. As for the bait pump, any ideas Tim?
They both have my best wishes for the future anyway, I just hope with the judgement today in court in favour of women getting more money in the event of a divorce, that they have sorted out who is the man etc!

Hi Terry and Tim... and all who miss us

Still here .... stood on the cliff but could not pluck up the courage to jump in the end.

Phil... I believe has a sick computer at the moment... and has swapped his rod for Leather and Willow... I believe it's one of his fetishes... he says he is skippering the 4th team for St Leonards cricket club.... plus his work is manic at the moment also....

Been to Deal a couple of times recently but always arrive a day after the fish have swam through... had some dogfish though and a small bass...

Now I have my head stuck in my gas books for the next two weeks before my CORGI stuff as my 5yrs is up since I last took all my gas exams.... and 100% to pass is all you need.

As I am taking my exams at Eastbourne on the 6th and 7th next month... I though I might give that part of the coast a bash the day after to celibrate..... and as a break this weekend may try Deal for a change..

So.... Weymouh is full of wanted posters I see and Weatherspoons have new bouncers on the entrances... sounds like a wild time was had by all....

Terry... if you need a hand to launch the SEA MISTRESS anytime after the 6th of June I should be able to crank the winch if you like....but I am no good as an anchor only ground bait...

Have you tried Hernebay direction yet???

Tight Lines to you all

O Cascars - ideas for the use of a bait pump? what could you mean? 8O I do of course remember "certain" magazines that advertised something known as the "Chartham Method", so I suspect you might have been thinking of that, but as I have no personal experience of such contraptions and whether they actually work I can't really advise - you could ask phildalt about it though, maybe he's gone up a size with his cricket box big grin hehehehehe big grin

Dallydog - would you really want the Imax suit? I mean, you know where it's been! big grin

And Hooked - you had your head stuck in a gas book? bit careless wasn't it? I know since natural gas came in that the gas oven is no use for topping yourself, but death by paper cuts?

Just wondering now John if you have buried Phil in one of his own lug holes, LOL. Guessed you were probably reading up on pipes, fittings etc, at least you have a good alibi for phils disappearance!
You would have loved where we were staying in Weymouth, there was a shop opposite which sold gas fittings etc, you could have had a good browse before bed, lol!
Have not tried Herne Bay, I could say I am saving it for a rainy day, but we have had too many for that to be a good excuse. Will probably try it in July.
Tim, I see we are on the same wavelength re Bait Pumps, lol, perhaps he has been sucked right up inside it!!
With the weather as it has been, I thought the site needed a bit of lightening up, this post seems to have worked.

I'm feeling miserable sad ...... I still have my head stuck in my gas books 8O .... just can't seem to remove it at the moment... it's looking like I may need surgery (comments like that I'm sure will spark other remark  )

So if I make it to Deal on Saturday... I'm the one with the book on my head... LOL

... oh well, I suppose if it is raining it may come in handy

Hi Hooked,

I'm not going to ask why your gas books are sticky, but I am going to insist you come clean about Phil's disappearance - he's under the patio isn't he? big grin

I reckon John has developed a gas-powered rocket, chopped Phil up and balsted him into space. The perfect murder!

Nah, maybe a gas powered teleportation device ....with all that studying....lol lol

However, what will happen when Phil does return then?

Will Deal Pier ever be the same?

Well....

Made it to Deal on Sunday... not the Saturday... fished the 3rd shelter, or should I say stood, sat and paced around the 'stem' between the third shelters.

After hours of waiting caught a skooly bass and then a weaver... so moved on to the lower deck at low water and fished with a local Deal angler.

... then after being invaded by three foriegn families (all none English speaking except one son). Who all had brand new rods I counted 6 in total and they cast ever way but forwards..

The other angler and myself made plans to escape after one horizontal cast went 30 yards sideways over our lines closely missing us, and on pulling up my tackle so as to evacuate I caught a small pouting.

We moved off the pier down to 'the chequers' in the hope of some smuts but all I caught was a crab.

but as for Phil......... 8O like the Da Vinchi Code it's one of the worlds best kept secrets of modern times.

Tight Lines
All you budding Phil fans
