Have just purchased a pair of these rods as they were a billy bargin! and was wondering on reconmendations for reels to use with them? i will mainly be using them for fishing rough ground at distance...

alreet mate,is it the old G5 or the newer one,the newer one has the smooth tip section.I use either my 525 super mag or my sl30sh with mine,when i use it,mostly use my MK1 Apollo

i imajine it is the older one due to being second hand! not sure how to tell the difference in the tip as has been wrapped with reflective tape!
I was thinking that a 525 would be a good choice as would like a reel with a ratchet and find that penn reals stand up to abuse better than abu's in my experiance

alreet mate,the newer G5 has the full tip section smooth by tip section i mean the top half of your rod,i.e rod in 2 halfs,coupled to a supermag it will be spot on for you mate

Is definatly the older one as has the carbon weave all along tip section tho i imajine the super mag will still work just as well on it?

Yes mate a 525 will work perfectly fine with your Supa sport,excellent casting rod and reel

Ok cheers for the help any idea on what 525 is the best one to go for? want one with a ratchet for preference...

the super mag is by far the best mate,sorry it took a while to reply but i have been away for a few days

you will probably pay around £120 for one brand new mate,but good luck in your quest for one
