hi every one,
I have just bought a storm richochet 400 multiplier which has a
dual centrifugal and mechanical brake system
do these have to be adjusted to improve my casting if so how do i adjust them.

Not sure about the reel.
The best way to improve your casting is practice, practice and practice.

I take it that the "mechanical bakes" that you refer to are the adjusting knobs on the end plates. Without any line on the spool tighten these very slowly until you can only just feel any sideways play when you try to move the spool from side to side. The centrifugal brakes are adjusted by removing the sideplate and replacing the blocks with bigger or smaller ones. If you are fishing into an head wind, then the knob on the sideplate can be tightened, but only a little as too much will reduce casting distance by a long way. Dont be afraid to ask for advice from anyone you see out fishing with a multi, as most will be only too willing to help. |
