Hi People. Sorry its late first time i've had chance to post report. sad
Fished infront of tower with my uncle between us catching about 9 fish best was a doggie about 2lb, Codling to just over a pound and small pout.
Starting fishing at about 5.30 pm friday as tide was on the turn was a lovely calm warm day not great for fish but ok for fisherman.
Was using two rods one with pulley pennel about 2/0 with whole squid other 2 hook boom rig with worm trying lug and rag.
First good bite and double wammy!!
Two small codling at the same time! big grin ( Beat that paul daniels!! )
Thats what I call magic! 8O
Was very slow bloke next to us had one about 2lb 1/2 looked nice.
It died all but a few knocks until about an hour before high tide then picked right up and went mad 2 hours down.
I hear it fishes best on the ebb from what people say but it did go crazy!!
Uncle caught doggie of about 2lb which gave a nice bend.
All fish caught only about 30 - 40 yards out.
It felt like some sort of bar we were casting too but only thing was I lost fish when pulling back over!! sad Nothing big mind!
Anyhow hope everyone is well and fishing good!
Tight lines all and speak soon!! happy
P.S Ash if you read this will let you know about a place my uncle told me about where they were spinning for Bass on the beach and a few big fish came out!! 8-9 lb ers. ( Will find out and post happy )

Hi Dave, with the east coast reports that I have seen being so-so, I reckon you and your Uncle did alright. I knew there were fishing coming out there fairly regularly, but you know what it's like when you say to someone " go fish so and so ; you should do alright". You normally find that they are less than thankful because they blanked or whatever. Anyway I had it on good authority that sizeable codling and dogfish were being caught so I am glad you both got amongst a few of em. Well done especially as you have a fair old trek to get there and back... happy P.s the note about the spinning sounds interesting... happy
