Newbie anyway!
just getting to grips with leads weights, rigs ,etc and doin ok.
But going to very NW Scotland end of week. good advice given on here, but cos im possibly fishing craggy bottom, one advice is to float fish.
But never done it sea fishing. Done loads of coarse. Any difference??? Depths, baits etc???????
I could look it up somewhere im sure, but easy lazy option is to type a few words out on here and get a proper experienced answer.(hopefully?)
Cheers

Hi, Im no expert on float fishing, but my understanding is, its basically the same as for coarse fishing, You can use your coarse fishing gear in still water, the large floats used are mainly so they can be seen at a distance in a swell. in still or calm conditions you can see the small floats, you need to know the depth of water your fishing, which is harder when sea fishing as it rises and falls with the tide, and you need to adjust your line accordingly. If you can get a little pilchard oil, that helps, Im sure someone will be along to give more detail, I wrote this just in case no one does If in doubt, ask at your tackle shop, or do what i do, experiment, see what works. Tightlines..Mick |
