hi all fished pagham tonight from 20:00 till 00:00 very quiet so tried in close with whole squid and got a nice 6lb cod i was only casting about 30yds rl try and put a pic on here but rl hav to wait 4 the missis to do it  cherrs all stew

| Well done mate. Now I know why I didn't catch any cod that night ( see my post below) - my 300yd casts were over their heads !! lol |

Cracking result stew  , im sure a lot of us including me are overcasting for the cod , theres been a few good results with short lobs , change of tactics coming on here |

| Interesting commentskool. I'm fairly recently back to sea fishing after a 20 year break and old wisdom was always that you had to cast far for a chance of cod. Forgetting my attempt at a joke re 300yd casts, I was fishing well past 30 yards hte other night and although I had a good evenings sport, not a cod in site. Never felt confident fishing close in but will give it a try tmorrow at Pagham. cheers Steve |
