Hello,
Just registered so I thought I'd say hello.
Been fishing for about 25 years in the Southend area. Used to fish the pier all the time but now it tends to be for an occasional mackie bash when the sun's out. Memories of legging it to the east point as soon as the pier opened to bag some codling are fading. Also fish comps on the pier when I can find out when they’re on. Didn’t fish a single one this year…
Also fish Thorpe Bay beaches plus Barge Pier (tricky mark but walking distance from home) and sometimes the Crouch.
Used to be a bit of a muleteer, and can usually winkle them out wherever they are.
Hope to hear updates from all Southend fishermen
All the best,
Richard |

Welcome to the forum - your experience will be much appreciated no doubt - especially by me who probably won't stop pestering you with questions!
I have just started sea fishing again after a 12 year break and this forum has been no end of help in pointing me in the right direction.
Tight Lines!
