| Probably gonna head down to Bell Wharf in Old Leigh this weekend and fish the early and late tide - any tips in the mean time would be much appreciated! Was going to fish a two hook rig, lug on the top then a flattie rig on the bottom...... |

The rig sounds fine - I'd probably use size 2 hooks on both traces with lug on both - I used to like long (2' or 3') traces from there. Rag catches fish there though as does peeler.
Small fish strips should pick out the bigger flatties.
There's probably a chance of whiting after dark though and they can't usually resist a strip of fish!
Fish in the creek and if you have a second rod try dropping a bait over the edge for a few casts.
If the crabs aren't stripping the bait then leave the casts for twenty minutes instead of fifteen - I had a day there once when every fish was caught between the fifteenth and twentieth minute.
If you cast up-tide a bit and let out a bow of line you can keep the baits near the bottom.
There's a few tips
Cheers,
