My 8 year old son wants to start sea fishing and I'm looking for a good place to take him. At this moment he would be happy to catch anything. Any ideas? We live in Yorkshire but for him I will travel just about anyplace.
Thanks

i would suggest maybe find him a decent junior club that do fishing coarses/ matches. the clubs will usually pick venues that are both easy to fish and where he'll catch. i'm vice chairman of an excellent junior club, but it's down in kent (thats a hell of a long way to go).

failing that i would say to try and fish from piers where you'll catch at very short range, and maybe a clean sea bed. your young lad won't want to be pulling into snags all day.

thats best i can suggest mate. i hope he catches, it's great to see thier faces when they catch for the first time.
