Welcome to the forum mate , with your carp rod it really depends on what type of fishing that you have in mind I use a 9ft quiver tip with a 1oz tip to float fish with no problem at all but to use the carp rod as a beach caster you may find that the casting weight of your rod is too light
hope this helps mate
cheers Steve

Hi, once you get your set up sorte if you want to ish Blackpool - fleetwood sometime give me a shout if you want some company I fish this area daily alost.

Personally I wouldnt use a carp rod, however you can pick some really good 2nd hand beach casters up on carboots or in some tackle shops cheap.

Hello and welcome spooky, just curious why you use high case / caps in your text?? The reason I ask, is that caps / high case text is known to be shouting within forums etc..
No rules against here, I am just curious confused

Cheers

hi spooky
im a new member to the forum you can come hear any time for advice and you will allways get a reply with members ready to give some good advice . It dont mater what tackle you buy it will be ok as like the other guys will tell you they dont stop at that in the fishing game you will see another bargin somewhere but the rod you mentioned for the price seems ok but i would use a fixed spool real to start with, If you can get along side one of us you will pick some good tips
