|
|
We are staying in Connel (about 5 miles north of Oban) last week of October. Can anyone point me in the right direction for a good beach or rock fishing spot close by. What are we likely to be catching and some tips on the right bait to use.
Thanks
Rushie |

| I'm getting worried 40+ viewings of my post and no replies. Surely there must be a good spot to fish somewhere close to where we are staying. Your help and guidance would be greatly appreciated as I have only been fishing about 2 months and need all the help I can get. |

| Thanks to Jonty for his reply and advise but is there anyone reasonably local to the area or with experience of fishing close by that can help. |

| Its unfortunate that we dont have many posts from scotland as its has great fishing potential. I have only fished Loch Long a few years ago and we had a whale of a time (forgive the pun) but we were so busy we werre knackered all 7 of us. Cheers keith |

| Thanks Seabass 1, as I've visited Oban a few times before I now know exactly where you mean and will certainly visit the shop. I will let you know how well (or badly) I get on once I get back. Once again thanks for the help. |

| Just to let those that advised and helped me, how I got on fishing last week. 7 coalies and 2 small pollack to show for about 20 hours fishing. Also about a ton of seaweed and some lost tackle. Overall very enjoyable but could have done with a bit more action. Fished with other people a couple of times and they did not catch much either. The tackle shop in Oban was extremely helpful advising on marks and bait but could not get hold of any Ragworm so I am blaming that for the quiet sessions. Once again thanks for the help. |
