Hi All

I have done some coarse fishing, but earlier this summer I borrowed some sea fishing gear (not a lot) and while in Wales did a bit of sea fishing from the local pier (caernarfon). The tide was very fast and the fishing was a little slow but managed a couple of small pollock. Then was hooked, I have my own rod and reel and am going to Anglesey this weekend to fish from Penmon Point. I would like to know where to go for sea fishing which is local(ish) and also, roughly how much does it cost to go on a trip on a boat for cod etc... including hiring tackle as I don't think mine is suitable for off a boat. (12ft powerstick beachcaster and mitchell blue 6000 reel). Thanks for any help with any of this guys.

Hi mate, as a manchester lad myself but living in Blackburn I know the feeling. Marks that are local to you would be Fleetwood, Cleaveleys, Rossall, Liverpool, Heysham, and glasson dock. Best boat locally is blue mink out of Fleetwood cost about £25 to £30 for an 8hr trip. I have quite a bit of gear for sale if interested.
Cheers
keith
