well first your going to need a pole roller and place that about 6feet behinde you and a few pole rigs, normaly its easyer to buy the first few to get to grips with them, then you need to find what the best distace is to fish at and plumb the bottom to give you a idea of the depth, start of fishing say about 7-8 meters out to get you used to the feel of your pole because when you put the full lengh out it gets a bit heavy and the wind becomes a pain, i you need to no anything else just let me no, |

Hi Mikey`l
Short poles are ok for fishing to hand tiddle-bashing or bait gathering but i just fail to see the fun in fishing a big pole especially in saltwater.Long poles are for canals where the fish can`t go anywhere or pet carp in puddles and i get much more enjoyment out of using a balanced rod and reel . If you like joining and taking apart tubes you could always get a job as a scaffolder..... thats hard work as well......not a pole fan ....sniggle |
