hi there.
anybody know where i can get hold of any shellfish for bait (either local suppliers, where i can collect them locally or mail order.
i'm really interested in piddock clams, cockles, razor fish. the clams are the main ones i'm after.

BIGGUY where ya from mate? that will help people tell you of tackle shops in your area.but any decent tackle shop should have razor fish in stock whether fresh or frozen |

and have you had any large Bass recently to top that stonker you had a few months back 8O

where abouts at the warren m8? or is it a bit of a secret.
do you dig them in a similar way to worms? is there any sort of sign where they are (cast, holes, etc). any info would be greatly appreciated.

Hi Hooked yes it is the Warren Folkestone.
Hi bigguy thay are hard work to get i use a hammer and bolster,you can spot them by the holes it the solid mud-rock.I will be going down there this week coming to get a few so if you want to come along justletme know. ALZPALZ |

i can't make week days as i've got work in the day.
if your gonna go down there on a evening or weekend i would deffo be interested in seeing how it's done.
where about at the warren are they i might have a go at the weekend as i've got some spare time.
how far in the mud/ rocks are they? and how big are the holes?

i went down there today and got few for the freezer. you're right they are bloody hard work, but hopefully worth it.

the info you gave me was very useful. i'm very greatful for all your help. i would never have though about going down there.
they seem bigger when you crack the chalk open than when you get the buggers out. LOL.
would be good to meet up for a sesh if we're both going to the beach on the same tide. |
