hi all
I was around someones house today who had heaps of rods reels and tackle for sale due to there husband sadly passing away, her husband was obviousy a fishing fanatic as he had heaps of the stuff, alot of it looked old but was in good condition, but becuase it is old i dont know the stuff but the lady only wants £25 for a rod and reel there was a range of multiplier reels and beach and boat rods, does anyone think this is worth buying? and what difference is there between a boat and a beach multiplier? as most didnt have any make or models on them I couldnt look them up on the net. |

£25 for a rod and reel dosn't sound bad at all, in the worst case senario you will not have lost too much if it falls apart.
On the other sider of the coin, I just got hold of a new 12ft rod with SF500 multiplier for just under £30. Actually got 2 of them. They may not be top of the range but shows that there are pretty good deals out there. I suppose it all depends on what you want and your level of skill. |

hi rabbi
Sorry I think I may have worded it wrong. I wasn't thinking of buy a rod and reel till I spoke this woman and didn't want to miss out on good deal. she basically has about 12 multiplier reels with rods a lot of them for boat fishing and don't know which reels are suitable for beach cast so is there any way to tell them apart .
thanks andy |

If you can list the rods and reels I might be able to point you in the right direction. keith |
