Hi all
Just found forum. I am a bass fishing fanatic, but happy with anything.Based in Exmouth shore and boat. Had some great fish inshore to 91/2 pound off Ladram, before winter returned. Hopefully weather will improve next week. Keen to hear where the fish are and happy to tell. |

| Hi mate and welcome. I lived in Exmouth for many years and used to lure fish for bass by casting across the channel at LW from the slipway near the dock. (Is it still called the dock or have the posh completely taken over?) Also used to go out wreck fishing with Mike Baker - probably the most knowledgeable skipper at Exmouth and he was a good laugh too. Mind you, don't take any ladies if you go out with him, his language is colourful to say the least. |

| Also fairly new to forum. Don't live in Exmouth, but have a small boat nearby. Only been fishing for a few months and have only really caught mackeral, LSD and a few other small fish. A few tips and ideas would be much appreciated. |

| Dear pjs, I have not lived in Exmouth for several years so am not really up on the area anymore. However, I would suggest you get an Admiralty Leisure Chart of the area and then explore a few in shore wrecks - they can be a hive of fish activity this time of year. Also look for rough ground areas and deep holes. |

To PJS
IF you want Bass, inshore wrecks and sandbanks/Rpugh ground all good at different times. Straight Point, Otterton Ledge and Ladram Bay can all be good close in. Sand eels a must, on long trace. Had 3 Bass to 4 lb today on inshore wreck so fish about. |

| Sandeels can be hard to get and dear mate. Catch all my bass with mackerel strip and lug. Had a 3 lber last night on lug, very short snoods too because actually I was looking for sole but the bass still took it on a 6 inch snood. |

| Thanks for info so far. I've just discovered a source of sandeels so I'll give it a go. Boat out of use as the engines in bits whilst we fix it. |
