does anyone know if i can use mussels and those sort of creatures for bait along the south east? |

shellfish are the muts nuts bait after a big blow. just take a walk along the beach and pick up what the sea has thrown up. usually razors, cockles, clams, etc. at this time it will usually outfish any other baits.
mussels can be used to bulk out peelers if you're a bit tight for cash or not many to collect.
rotten shellfish can be an absolute killer bait (if you can stand the smell), especially for flatties. |
