Treated myself to a new rod 'Anyfish Anywhere 13' 4" match rod' Came yesterday by post. I haven’t tried to cast a lead yet and probably wont until next weekend. I’ll give a report on the rod and my casting abilities later. Fish are still shy at Holland on Sea, over the past few weeks I’ve given it my best shot but without much success, the odd cod grabs the hook and a few small whiting, nothing to write home about. I think that applies to fellow fisher men who I have spoken to down there. Hopefully February will be better fishing for all.

Just bought the AFAW Tournament Match and it one hell of a rod.

If you're ever up this way (Humber), you're welcome to a cast.
