Anyone on here know anywhere up and down this stretch of coast thats good for fishing.
I live in Jedburgh and am getting fed up of just "heading of down to Eyemouth" and need somewhere else to try out for a change.
Any help would be appreciated

Depending on what type of fishing you are into there are plenty of other places.
Beaches Thorntonloch, seacliffs, tyneingham,n berwick, white sands and others
Rocks N berwick, dunbar harbour, st baldreds cadle, coldingham
Boats dunbar and n berwick
thats all along that stretch of coast plenty more slightly further.

Try the outflow at torness powerstation for bass and mulllet and the outflow at cockenzie pwr station . Torness is legendary, bass in Scotland!. |

Try the rocks at the end of the breakwater at St. Abbs. Canbe good at very close range. |

Hi M8,
I live in Stow, not too far from you. We'll have to hook up sometime for a few casts.
I've fished most of the popular marks in and around the East Coast. Personally, I'd avoid Torness & Cockenzie like the plague! I'm of the opinion that Bass nursaries shouldn't be fished, some people who fish these marks just don't give a shit about fish stocks, bag limits and keep sizes
As a quick guide:
Eyemouth good for Flatties off the beach, Pollock, Wrasse etc from the rocks. As mentioned previously, bit of a tackle graveyard, especially the kelp forest at the end of the pier.
St Abbs (Harbour), Coalies, Pollock & Wrasse
St Abbs (Head), Pot luck but maybe a Wrasse, Codling, Pollock or Ling!
Coldingham, Porpoise and not much else
Berwick Upon Tweed, Flatties and the occasional Mackie.Never know, maybe a Salmon or Sea Trout!
North Berwick, blanked to date !!!
Drop me a mail sometime: netghost@dsl.pipex.com
Regards
