hello im based in gurnard pines im looking for local help to find bass ive had plenty of doubles on the beach at home in brighton and beachy head so im used to the roughstuff,dont mind losing gear either.
i know there normally well guarded secrets but could use a few pointers im also used to blanking week after week when their in a funny mood,but i sure would like a few venues to start me of cheers and tightlines all

Well i see there is lots of help on the Isle of Wight, sounds like they have too many secrets over their on there island devil

Hello there,
Not my area either however i have just fished the island for a week and found that shanklin fishes well as a low water mark produces some nice rays and plaice also turbot can be had at low tide...rag and squid.

A must mark for the evening is brooke for rays...again rag worm

Another place that we found was good for whiting pout and big bass was fort victoria...
Hope this helps a bit.

Wasn't the British record bass taken at sandown pier IOW last year?

i find my favorite bass spot on the island is t be just left off the funfair at ryde. and if you keep walking left until you get to the sorta castle thing cast out to the left of the shingle in the sand and i caught 3 thornys and a small eyed ray there all in 1 1/2 hours
