S'pose I'd better throw my hat in the ring as well seeing as I also suggested it on another post (Doh. Note to self. Keep your mouth shut in future)
Hopefully you'll get a good reaction to it from a broad spectrum of anglers, old salts, matchmen, newbies, juniors etc.
I think it would be great if we could all meet up once / twice a year (from all areas) for a bit of sport but most of all for fun.
Dont know much about sea angling, but if you need any help organising would do what I can to help.

Wouldn't it be good to try and get a get together in these crap financial times (get away from it all).
Mods and regs the only ones to reply at mo.
Newbies. (me), meet up with guys that have given you incredible info, put a face to the name and are they as good as the advice they gave you???? Dont fish if you dont want to, just meet,watch and get advice?
Old salts. Outfish, outdrink the young up and coming whipper snappers.
Juniors and family. Dont fish next to me, I dont want your 8 year old son and non fishing daughter to outcast and outfish me. I've had enough of that already!
Matchmen. Whip our ass if you can?? (yeah ok, YOU CAN!)
Inter area rivalry. Sort it out once and for all (in a friendly and respectable manner with absolutely no banter, malice or dis-respect) YEAH, RIGHT!!

Who knows. It may not happen, but what is your opinion??
Personally I'd like to meet and put some faces to names and maybe increase and involve more members rather than typing thru your PC
