| sorry, should have mentioned the hassle of a levelwind on the multis. as i said i havent even used the reel for a few practise casts yet and a few people told me the level wind can be a nightmare for distances. it seems wide enough on the 6ht and the allbright knot is small enough to fit thru it easily when i pull at it but might be a different story when casting. the one i have doesnt look like it can be taken off to easily but as loonie said, they can be removed easily on most of the abus. |

| The line guide looks to be plastic,on most other abu's they are metal,if its plastic this would cause friction from the line rubbing on winding in.Im proberbly wrong, but I would want to look at one before buying one.It might be an Idea to look at one in your local tackle shop first. |

loonie,
got a look at the abu in a shop before i bought one. The level wind has a stainless steel inserted eye that is what is actually in contact with the line so i went ahead and bought one.
Now for one last question, do you know of any sites that explain what all the bits and bobs on the multiplier actually do and how to use them.
Probably sounds like a very basic question to someone used to using multipliers but i'm literally learning as i go,
cheers for any help,
ribs. |
