Hi all
was looking for a cheap new multi on monster and stumbled across the shakespeare zeta only £13.99!
Has anyone got one and will it break first cast or first big fish?
Other option is the Abu ambassadeur Blue Max at £29.99
Double the price but what do you think?
Feedback please
Thanks in advance Andi |

Hi mate , save your dosh and go for a abu 6500 series or daiwa 7ht , penn 525 mag .... and buy second hand , theres no enjoyment in buying a cheap multi to learn with , it will only put you off ,
good luck mate |

Ther's an old saying in this world and that is "you get what you pay for" and this applies to fishing equipement more than anything else. That dont mean you have to spend a fortune on gea. If you go for middle of the road stuff you wont go far wrong. Cheers keith |

My first multiwas a Storm Richoet 200 and have found it to be good for learning the new skills associated with fishing with a multi. It only cost me £30 as I didn't see the point in forking out for a more expensive model if Ididn't like fishing with it. I would say gowith what you feel comfortable paying for one as remeber that fishing with a multi is not for everyone.....Colin |

Ive had a couple of very cheep reels in the past, a shakespeare neptune was one of them, which didnt really last very long at all, plus there is the point already mentioned that you might not get on with it and it might not be your cup of tea, but saving up for a bit and buying a daiwa abu or penn reel is what i would do....... saving up for a couple of months makes it more of a treat for yourself doesnt it ???
Personally i think you buy too cheap, you buy twice |

I'm upgrading to an Okuma Maganatix MG30 which is part of a setup I have persuaded the missus to buy for christmas if you see a reel you like maybe ask someone you know that has one if you can borrow it to see if you can get on with it. |

Keep an eye out for a good second hand one after Xmas - a lot of perfectly good reels will be on the market having been upgraded by a Christmas present. |
