Hi Mate,
Yes ive caught some good bags of flounder during the winter months. Also smooth hound, ray, bass and decent eels during the summer months. You can catch some decent whiting during nov and dec.
It is an underrated venue.

Hi all,
nice report, as I am looking at different venues myself, would love to give this place a go. What bait, tactics etc... any advice would be helpful.
More importantly, where is it, I know where Bells are, is it near?
Hope to be coming down about the 8/9th December for my monthly jaunt, so will most probably head this way,
tight lines,
Bryan. |

Hi all,
does anybody know if its allowed to fish on the front of the marina, looking on google i can see the parking spaces that hopefully is where Paul was fishing, just cant see if it is an open road or shut off by gates.
Any help would be appreciated, and could save a wasted journey on the 8th dec when i escape from up here next.
regards,
Bryan. |

I seen people fishing near the carpark but not sure if its allowed.
Most people after parking walk across the lock gate through another carpark then along a small narrow lane that runs parallel with the beach.
You can walk for aslong as i you like i tend to walk to a small concrete jetty but some walk further, to be fair its all mostly mud out there anyway.
All rigs will work and use ragworm for bait, you dont have to cast far for the flounder although i fish with 2 rods and like to experiement with distances. |

Cheers for that uwish,
looks like it might be the place we head for on the 8th.
Plans are to get bait from Bells, set up before dark fish until a couple of hours after high, then head back home again.
Regards to all.
Tight Lines,
Bryan. |
