| Can't comment about that particular rod but very happy with my Silhouette Beachcaster which I have fished regularly for about 9 months now. Very good value for the money in my opinion, I will soon be getting another. |

For a starter rod under £50 i think that'll do you quite nicely. |

Thanks for the replies gents, it looks like that will be the rod I will probably be taking the plunge for. Another bonus is I'll be able to use the rod and most of the other gear when I have a go on the freshwater side.

Im going to try for some pike tomorrow at Chichester lakes,not sea but ill take some Saxa salt with me.
