Hi Everyone ! As I have already mentioned I am Going To Trevose Head tomorrow night . I am taking my best mate who is not a fisherman but an excellent climber . My mate has always wanted to catch a big pollock and I know that if he did catch one he would be addicted and become part of our world . Any Ideas on how I can specificly go for them ? worried

Hi, Pollack go mad for fire tail worms, Any length however the best colour is black body with a flame tail ie orange red etc. Fish close to rocks and kelp beds, thats where they are hiding / waiting for their prey!

If you want some ideas for lures check out my site as I have a good selction even for Pollack winking !

If you where to choose the bait option they go mad for rag worm and sandeel.

Good Luck

i usually catch pollack off my local pier using sprats or mackeral strips

white feathers work well in semi clear water too.

small strips of mackeral alongside a ragworm. perfect.
if you can find somewhere calm enough rag worm on a float will produce quickly.

you can also spin small lures for them over rocks but expect to lose gear often.

Jellied worms casted with a fly a few feet further up the line will produce, more often the fly catches first!
