hi fished there tonight for from darkness till 8 pm I had 3 codling at around 2.5 lbs and a nice whiting of about a 1lb

HOW TO GET THERE
Head along the A249 towards the Isle of Sheppey just before you go over the new big bridge you turn off for ridam dock down slip road to the roundabout turn left then first right into ridam dock road go under the old bridge and park on the left by the boat clubs gate.
there is a public footpath through the style walk up towards the hut and you will see the pontoon you can fish of it ive spoken to people from the boatyard they say its fine if you take your rubbish home
hope this helps might see you there (good luck)

is there much room ? how many anglers could fish there without being a bother,, ie lines crossing grrrrrrrrrrrrrr

hi as for casting all you need to do is cast either around the old bridge from the pontoon is about 80 ft or into the channel is about 120 ft not far even for me. as for snagging I did snag a few times but used a plain lead and was reeling in fast had no more snags It lloks like the old old bridge from years ago went across where the pontoon is i think that and the bridge hold the fish.
good luck

Hi I fish there alot and the pontoon is nearly always empty alot of anglers fish under the bridge or the other side as they think its out of bounds the boat club guys are really friendly and really dont mind people fishing off it... so no crossed lines shouldnt be a problem at all..
there is another good spot when you walk into the boatyard which is a public right of way anyway as your facing the the river look right and you will see a dock its called ridam dock if you walk along the grass bank to the end its another great peaceful spot for fishing good size fish come out of there as the dock is deep because of the ships going in and out...
remember if fishing the pontoon use a plain lead and retrieve quick you should be fine. the dock end has no snags.
good luck
