Ok fished between the old light house and powerstation between 9pm and 1am
Very rough lots of flotsum and weed managed to crack off 2 reels and break two eyes on my rod, I only got 2 whiting and my bro got about 5 whiting and a good size codling,
looking back I think I would have been better fishing down tide earlier in the day as heard reports of people taking a good haul of good size codling.
ho hum off to get the eyes repaired today.
Still learning thats for sure!
off for some casting practice in a quiet field to learn how to use my 6500 ct rocket later any tips? Its my first reel without level wind. |

Get yourself a Daiwa 7ht...much more forgiving than a racy Rocket and a fine fishing reel.Failing that, put a bigger brake block in the rocket and use a thicker oil to slow it down a bit.......oh and try to cast as smoothly as pssible. |
