Hi omonia
Years ago the warren used to be good for strap (young) conger off the beach on warm summer eve's , using rotten bottom rigs with fish for bait,if you could time it,just before a thunderstorm gave good results, distance was never an issue but the quality of bait was,but like i said that was years ago ,perhaps someone on the site could give a more recent appraisal but a rotten bottom rig should always be used there, find some old wieghts or get a bulk deal off fleabay or somewhere
good luck

Hi

I fished the pier on Tuesday and got a good codling, whiting and pouting.

About 9 fish in total

Matt
